Cyberpunk has had a rough launch, especially on the older generation Playstation 4 and Xbox One, but refunds are being offered to player who are unhappy by the developers Cd Projekt Red.
Unplayable frame rates, weird graphical errors and a 720p resolution are some of the issue being complained about by console players, it appears that the old consoles just aren’t up to the task of running this game. Pc players have experienced issues too, but nowhere near the same scale as console.
I experience at least one bug per mission, whether it’s dying from a 2 meter fall or being thrown across the map, but ultimately the game is still playable and none of the bugs I’ve experienced so far have been game breaking.
Sony have stated that they are making an exception for the game and allowing refunds to be processed, even after the usual grace period. Since that time, the developers have issued an apology and have said they will honour any refunds to anyone having issues with the game.
“PSA: Sony is issuing refunds even passed the 2 hour play time for digital games, if you file a refund claim and talk to a rep,” a post on the Cyberpunk subreddit stated on December 13.
CD Project Reds apology came in the form of a Twitter post which apologised for the current state of the game on old-gen consoles.
“If you’re not pleased with the game on your console and don’t want to wait for updates, you can opt to refund your copy. For copies purchased digitally, please use the refund system of PSN or Xbox respectively.”

It seems as though the developers have come to some sort of an agreement with Microsoft and Sony to allow players to refund their games.
They have also said they will be updates coming in the near future to address the console issues but for players who aren’t happy to wait and just want their money back, they can.
