It’s the start of a new month, and in the world of Animal Crossing that means a host of new bugs, fish and sea creatures will be leaving your island as well as a host of new ones arriving.
Catching these critters is an important feat if your wanting to complete the exhibitis in your museum, of course it doesn’t matter too much for those who time travel as you can simply go back to the months you missed specific creatures in order to catch them and complete your museum.

However for non-time travellers time is of the essence, with a brand new host of creatures arriving today there is so many more to start catching. Once you have caught your creatures you can take them to Blathers to identify and add to your exhibits.
The museum isn’t the only thing these creatures are good for though, a lot of players catch and sell them especially as some of them are worth a lot of bells and you can make a good fortune that way.
If you sell your bugs to Flick and Fish to CJ you can make a lot more bells and they pay higher rates than the twins in Nooks Cranny, they will even make commissioned statues if you give them three of the same creature.
