The patch for Modern Warfare and Warzones season 5 is now live, with the games new batch of content ready for tomorrows launch. Unfortunately, you’ll need to clear even more space on your hard drive.
The patch is live across all platforms and and comes in at a massive 36Gb on console, though the update will require a hefty 90GB of storage space to initiate the download.
Paul Haile warned in advance that the season 5 patch size would be large yesterday on Twitter, explaining that although the download is large, the overall size of the game on your hard drive after the update will be smaller than before.
this means the download will be big, but the overall size of the game will actually shrink on your consoles after you download the patch, even though we're adding a bunch of new content for the season.

“It’s a priority for us to keep working on reducing the overall size of MW & WZ on your hard drives,” continued Haile, “but at the same time also delivering new seasons for everyone to enjoy. We’ll continue to work on this and keep pushing space reductions out with future updates.”
Season 5 officially drops tomorrow (Aug 5) so you’ll want to get that download out of the way if you want to be playing at launch.
The new season will bring in a lot of changes to the map, including a train and the opening of the stadium.
